About NC
Nordic Chartering is a privately owned Finnish shipping company established in 2003. Since then, operations have been carried out with the NC-logo on ship’s funnels. The mother company of Nordic Chartering was established in 1989.
The main office is located on the Finnish West coast, from where our dedicated and experienced team efficiently manages our shipping operations. The people in charge have 20-30 years of experience in the shipping industry and are committed to ensure high quality, reliable services for customers and partners.
Our shipping services today mainly operate between the Baltic Sea and North and West Europe extending to Spain and Portugal. Nordic Chartering is specialized in parcel service concepts and part cargo operations.
For over 20 years, we have managed regular timber sailings from the Baltic Sea to Ireland through our parcel service concept. Additionally, in collaboration with our strategic partners, part cargoes can be loaded in the Baltic Sea and en route to Western Europe and the Mediterranean
Vessels
Since start the company has operated with own tonnage and time-chartered vessels between 3000 – 5000 DWCC.
Since 2003 operations have been carried out with our NC-logo on ship’s funnels. Starting with operating time-chartered ships the history with own tonnage started in year 2004 when the company invested in Nordic Amanda. Since then, the fleet has been consisting of own tonnages; Nordic Bianca, Nordic Chantal, Nordic Diana and nowadays Nordic Erika in addition with vessels on shorter and longer time charters.
The fleet consists of modern multi-purpose fully timber fitted vessels, and all vessels have the Finnish/Swedish ice-class 1 A or 1 B, which is necessary to ensure operations all year round even in severe ice conditions in the upper Baltic Sea.
All vessels are also grain fitted and equipped with moveable bulkheads to build various amount of compartments in different sizes.
